Charles G. Durazo (Chuck), a distinguished military veteran and accomplished professional, passed away on February 14, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of remarkable achievements and enduring memories. Chuck dedicated 24 years of his life to the United States Air Force, where he rose to the rank of Colonel. During his esteemed military career, he served as a Navigator and Weapons Systems Officer in various fighter aircraft, including the F-101B, F-4 Phantom, and the swing-wing F-111. As Flight Commander and Executive Officer, Chuck exhibited exceptional leadership and expertise.

Post-retirement, Chuck assumed the role of President of TRIAD Associates, a consulting firm specializing in defense and aerospace matters. His invaluable contributions and insights helped shape the defense industry. He returned to his roots in Yuma, Arizona to reengage as a proud Yuma High School Criminal, Class of 1951, and a University of Arizona Wildcat, Class of 1955.

Chuck leaves behind his two brothers, Art and Al, and their wives, Frances, and Ginny. He is predeceased by his parents, Carlota and Charles Durazo, and his brother, Joe. He was a devoted family person, cherishing his marriage to Margaret Louise Durazo since 1958. Together, they raised a loving son, Mike, and welcomed a daughter-in-law, Kim, into their lives. Chuck’s family expanded to include four grandsons, Bryan, Danny, Andrew, and Alec, and two great-grandchildren, Aiden, and Autumn, who will forever remember his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love.

While Chuck’s physical presence will be missed, the impact on his profession, his country, and his family will be treasured and remembered for generations to come. He will be buried with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery in the future.
