September 10, 1940 – August 27, 2023

Joyce Irene Bousquet (nee White) passed away August 27, 2023. While we will miss her dearly, Joyce had lived a very full and happy life and left us with many cherished memories.

Joyce was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 10, 1940, to Rose (nee Kiel) and Stanley White. She grew up with many aunts, uncles, cousins and her siblings Stanley, James, and baby sister Karen. Joyce attended Kelly High School, married Robert Bousquet shortly after graduation, and soon began growing her own family. She later went back to college for a degree in Education, teaching for a number of years before attaining an MBA and starting her own business. Joyce was active in her community, a member and Officer of the DuPage Power Squadron and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchild and extended family. She retired to Marco Island Florida, was active in volunteering for political causes and taking time to enjoy outdoor activities with friends and family who came to visit her home.

Joyce was preceded in death by two of her children, Richard and Doreen, her parents, her two brothers Stanley (Janet) White and James (Jacquie) White. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Bousquet Duffy (Pete) and son, Robert Bousquet (Christine); grandchildren, Megan Duffy Legan (Phil), Lisa Duffy Bishtawi (Andrew), Gage Bousquet, Christian Bousquet, great granddaughter Josephine Rose Legan, sister Karen (nee White) Brienzo along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Remembrance and Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, 1:00 pm-4:00 pm at the Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home, 4343 Main St. Downers Grove, IL www.adamswinterfieldsullivan.com

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to your local Humane Society. Having had many rescue pets over the years, this was something very dear to Joyce.
